Born in Toronto, Paul was raised on a pop culture diet of sitcom and talk show TV, disaster movies and 70's/80's music television. Somehow it has served him well as a lifestyle television editor over the past seventeen years.

Following graduation in 1992 from Humber College's Film & Television studies, Paul was hired to assist feature film editor Nick Rotundo. Working hard and keeping quiet (most of the time), Paul was fortunate to observe Nick edit over twelve films, mostly for NORSAR FILMED ENTERTAINMENT and S. ENTERTAINMENT.

Interested in new challenges, Paul pursued editing as his next role. This career phase began in 2000 on the ground floor of the hit lifestyle series DESIGNER GUYS (featuring Steven Sabados & Christopher Hyndman). DESIGNER GUYS was created by WESTWIND PICTURES and produced by Al Magee/MAGEE TV with post production services provided by VISUAL FIXATIONS.

Many lifestyle series followed DESIGNER GUYS including SO CHIC, DESIGN RIVALS, PARTY DISH, FIXING DINNER, THE SMART WOMAN'S SURVIVAL GUIDE, MAXED OUT, DIVINE DESIGN WITH CANDICE OLSON, PROPERTY BROTHERS, EX-WIVES ROCK and LOVE TRAP.

Recently, Paul has enjoyed working with LONE EAGLE ENTERTAINMENT for over three seasons on the multiple CSA award winning series YOU GOTTA EAT HERE! which you may watch on the FOOD NETWORK. Also, you can visit the FOOD NETWORK'S website and view some of the episodes Paul has edited. A detail list is available upon request.

In May of 2010, WHITESTONE EDITING arrived. Paul's company is named after Whitestone Lake, a cottager's paradise north of Parry Sound, ON where his father built a summer home for the family. To Paul, the cottage symbolizes hard work, diligence and making memories.

Paul recorded an intimate "house concert" at The LivingRoom in Markham. High quality live video is a must-have for musicians, and Paul delivered some fantastic looking and sounding video that really captured the essence of our performance. He's also a real pleasure to work with!

My band Who Stole The Cookies? wanted a short video produced for promotion. Paul Mitchell of Whitestone Editing came highly recommended by a friend.
We didn't know exactly what we wanted so we were unable to give Paul much direction. Recently, he came out to one of our gigs and recorded the show. And what we got back was an exciting, creative and beautifully produced promo video that highlights our band's music and stage performance. Paul was a pleasure to work with and was more than happy to quickly make any revisions and tweaks that I requested. In fact, I called Paul a 'magician' because I was amazed at how he accomplished some of the things he did! I would recommend Paul and Whitestone Editing for any video and editing projects.
